The Villa Octaveus offers luxury and privacy in a spectacular location. Constructed and furnished to exacting standards, and supervised by interior designer Miranda Holland Cooper, it will provide an idyllic retreat for your visit to Lefkas.
Even with it's maximum of 10 guests there is plenty of room for everyone. Despite the luxury of the villa, it's price is probably cheaper than two smaller villas, and this makes the Villa Octaveus perfect for large families and groups of friends. (Not suitable for young children or those in wheelchairs).

Location
It's position at the top of Rahi hill gives spectacular unobstructed views of Scorpios, Madouri, Sparti and Kalamos Islands; and over the bay to the mountains of the mainland. Approximately 5 minutes drive to the coastal resort of Nidri with its beaches, restaurants and nightlife. The nearest local taverna is only 500 metres, and a pleasant stroll through the olive and citrus groves will take you to Rahi waterfall for a refreshing swim!

The Villa Octaveus - General Description
Completed in 2008, this luxurious four bedroom villa offers the highest standards of comfort and quality. A large patio, with full size walk-in pool (45 m2) offers spectacular views and sunshine all day. The villa is set on top of Rahi hill and offers 360 degrees views of the sea and mountains.

The Villa Octaveus - Specific Description
Ground Floor:
A large open plan living room, dining room and fully fitted kitchen all joined by archways. Equipped with Franke and Whirlpool electric cooker, oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and beautiful polished granite work surfaces. A utility room contains the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Next to the kitchen is a morning coffee area (3m x 3.5m), with an adjacent wc. When there are 9 or 10 persons staying this area can be separated with a curtain and two quality Italian folding beds brought in. There is a small office with broadband WiFi and a phone capable of accepting incoming calls only

The living room is large and comfortable, with spectacular views over the sea. The open fire offers natural warmth for the winter. A wall mounted 40” flat screen satellite television and stereo system offers the ultimate in entertainment.

On the ground floor is one master bedroom, with four poster bed, ensuite bath/wc and shower. (An extra single bed can be added to this room on request).

First Floor
Marble stairs lead to Bedroom 2 with double bed and views directly East through the balcony doors and across the sea to the mainland. The balcony is large and private. This bedroom has ensuite shower, washbasin and wc.

Bedroom 3 has a double bed, with a large balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. There is an ensuite shower, washbasin and WC.

Bedroom 4 is a twin room with TV and DVD, ensuite shower, washbasin and wc; and with lovely views over the mountains to the west.

On the roof of the south tower is a shaded hammock area.

The Gardens
To the front of the Villa Octaveus is a large tiled patio, with pool and stone built BBQ. Perfect for warm summer evenings.  Steps lead down into the private gardens with the Jacuzzi hot tub - a perfect place to relax and watch the stunning sunset lighting up the distant mountains of the mainland.

It's hilltop location gives Villa Octaveus all-round views from sunrise to sunset.

Other Information
All rooms are individually air conditioned/heatied, and the Villa Octaveus offers one of the largest living spaces of any villa on Lefkas with lots of private areas for a group to lose themselves.
Sheets and towels are included.
Cleaning service is every two days. At your request this can be reduced to two days per week. This is by arrangement and for those who value their privacy - therefore there is no discount.
Pool and villa maintenance is provided daily at a pre-arranged time.
Gardener once a week at a pre-arranged time.
There is a 24 hour caretaker on call.
Please note that the number of steps in the villa and gardens, and the fact that the villa is on a hilltop, makes this villa unsuitable for people with walking difficulties.

Our opinion...

The best of all worlds. Although we would recommend a car for grocery shopping and exploring the beautiful Island of Lefkas you can also enjoy the pleasures on your doorstep without a car. A stroll to the nearest taverna or through the olive groves, or a cycle ride to the waterfall or beach for a swim.
