Open all year, the popular Hotel Nirikos is in an excellent seafront
location, at the North end of
the pedestrian shopping street which runs through the middle of Lefkas
Town. Its position at the entrance to the town allows
beautiful views out to sea, as well as very easy access to Preveza airport,
Igoumenitsa ferry port, and the fantastic beaches of the West Coast. Breakfast is
buffet-style. In the evening the hotel's own restaurant has an excellent
reputation, and there are many other bars, restaurants and tavernas nearby.
The Hotel Nirikos is ideal as a relaxing base for exploring Lefkada Island
and the mainland, as well as for short breaks and overnight stays.
Location
The Town Square, new marina and museums are all within a few
minutes walk, and endless hours can be spent exploring the back streets of
this typical Greek town.
The beaches and crystal clear water of the Gira,
and the windsurfing at Aghios Ioannis, are within a few kilometres - you could
walk or hire a bicycle. With a car you are in a perfect position to discover
the scenery and history of the Greek mainland. The pretty village of Parga,
the ancient Roman ruins of Nikopolis, and the airport at Preveza are all
easily reached along good roads. Athens is less than 5 hours away, and
Igoumenitsa is 90 minutes away for ferries to Italy.
The nearest
of the beautiful West Coast beaches and Aghios Nikitas is only 20 minutes drive.
If you prefer not to drive, the public bus station is approximately 1.5km
away and from here you can take buses to most parts of the Island and as far
as Athens and Igoumenitsa. The marina at Lefkas Town is only a short walk away.
Hotel Facilities
The hotel has a reception with 24 hour night
porter service, bar, restaurant (with an excellent reputation), outside
terrace bar, and lift. Breakfast is continental buffet. There is some
parking nearby on the street, and two large public car parks
within a few minutes walk.
