More about Vassiliki
Location
The village of Vassiliki is located on the South coast of Lefkas, in a large
South facing bay. The shape of the valley produces fresh winds in the
afternoon which has made Vassiliki one of the most famous windsurfing
destinations in the World. However the flat surrounding land, clear sea
water and pleasant harbour with it's tavernas and restaurants have made it a
popular destination for families and couples of all ages.
'Heliotropia' means Sunflower. The Heliotropia Houses are in a perfect
location to enjoy all the facilities of the village. It is beside the road
which runs around Vassiliki Bay between the village and Ponti. The
supermarket is conveniently situated next door. The nearest bars and
restaurants, and the beach, are only a minute's walk away. The harbour with
it's shops and waterfront restaurants is about 400 metres.
The Heliotropia Houses
There is one bungalow and two maisonettes. They are described below:
The Bungalow
The bungalow has a total size of 40 m2. The large open plan
kitchen/living/dining room contains a large fridge/freezer, full size oven
microwave, kettle and coffeemaker, toaster,
television (local channels) and patio doors leading onto a balcony. The
living room leads 'studio style' into a double bedroom, with it's own
balcony. There is a separate bathroom/wc with bath.
The bungalow is double glazed and air conditioned. There is a double bed in
the bedroom, a single sofa bed in the living room, and a folding bed can be
added. So the bungalow can take up to 4 persons.
The Maisonettes
There are two maisonettes, each of 60 m2. The ground floor is an open plan
living/dining/kitchen area. The living room contains a television (local
channels) and two sofas which can convert into single beds. The kitchen is
well equipped with a large fridge/freezer and full size oven, microwave,
kettle and coffeemaker, and a toaster. There is a
separate downstairs wc. Patio doors lead to a balcony.
Wooden stairs lead to the first floor. At the top of the stairs is a landing
with a single 'bunk bed' for one person. There is a double bedroom with
patio doors leading onto a balcony.
There is also a separate shower and wc. The maisonettes are air conditioned
both upstairs and downstairs. An extra folding bed can be added in the
living room, which means the maisonettes can take up to 6 persons.
